More Locations in Cheshire and Merseyside Sign Up to CQRS Local

The Cheshire West, Cheshire East, Halton, Knowsley and Liverpool commissioning teams of NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board (ICB) have signed up to use the Calculating Quality Reporting Service (CQRS) Local system to manage claims for locally driven healthcare schemes.
These teams join the St Helens, South Sefton, and Southport and Formby commissioning teams who are already using CQRS Local to streamline claims from primary care providers.
CQRS Local is an NHS England funded system that enables GP practices and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to better manage claims for the delivery of locally commissioned enhanced services which reflect local priorities.
The system minimises the risks of inaccurate claims, assists providers in understanding payments linked to claimed activities, and offers reporting tools for commissioners.
NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB is responsible for planning NHS services across the area including the care received at GP practices.
Dr Fiona Lemmens, Medical Director for NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB said:
“We’re pleased to be rolling out CQRS Local to another 55 GP practices in our region. Using tools like CQRS Local helps us to continue to enhance productivity and value for money, ensuring primary care is able to focus on delivering high quality care for our population.”
