QOF Year End CQRS Checklist Now Available
The Calculating Quality Reporting Service (CQRS) has produced a Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) Year End Checklist to help GP practices with key actions in preparation for the year end.
QOF is a voluntary annual reward and incentive programme for all GP practices in England. It gives an indication of the overall achievement of a practice through a points system. (Source: NHS England).
QOF information is used by the CQRS to calculate GP achievement payment values for the current financial year, and to set aspiration payment values for the following year.
QOF reporting collections run throughout the financial year, with information made available in CQRS afterwards. This allows GP practices to check it against the information in their clinical systems through the year and address potential issues in advance of the year end.
The QOF checklist recommends five actions:
- Check your practice’s performance
- Get set up on CQRS
- Participate in QOF 2024/25 to receive achievement payments
- Participate in QOF 2025/26 to receive aspiration payments
- Information about manual indicator submissions, if relevant
The CQRS website also includes frequently asked questions about QOF to support GP practices with preparation for the year end data extract which will take place on 1 and 2 April 2025. Achievement data should be available to view and declare in CQRS on 8 April 2025.
Further support is available from the CQRS support team by emailing support@cqrs.co.uk or calling 0330 124 4039 (8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays).
