GPES Data for Consented Research is now available in CQRS National

The GPES Data for Consented Research (GDCR) service is now available in CQRS National and is established under the GPES Data for Consented Research Directions 2026. These require NHS England to share coded GP health record data it already holds with specific, approved research studies when explicit consent has been provided on or behalf of the patient.

A Data Provision Notice (DPN) has been issued to GP practices by NHS England. Practices are legally required to comply with the DPN.
